「国際教育振興会」は1947年4月、「国際教育文化協会」の名称で設立されました。1948年8月、文部省認可の財団法人となり、1958年12月、東京都所管の財団法人に移行、2012年4月からは内閣府所管の一般財団法人となっています。設立以来、65年にわたり、「国際教育交流・異文化理解促進事業」と「英語・日本語等語学教育事業」の2つの事業を展開しています。
国際的な場で通用する英語力と教養を涵養する「グローバル人材育成プログラム」、日米両国で交互に開催する「日米学生会議」（1934年～）、「外国人による日本語弁論大会」（1960年～）などを実施、開催しています。また、「高円宮妃殿下英語論文コンテスト」日本側事務局を務めています。
日米学生会議は1954年第15回を最後に中断していましたが、1964年、日米学生会議創設30周年を迎えるのを機に、OBOGから復活を望む声も高まり、会議創設者の一人であった板橋並治氏が理事長を務めていた国際教育振興会（日米会話学院の運営母体）が主催団体となり、日米学生会議は復活しました。それ以来、今日に至るまで、当会議は戦前と同様に日米交互に開催をしています。
初心者から上級の通訳者養成までの英語教育を行う「日米会話学院」（1945年設立）、主に成人外国人に対し日本語教育を行う「日本語研修所」（1967年設立）の2つを運営しています。

International Student Conferences, Inc.
International Student Conferences (ISC) is a non-profit organization that prepares and empowers university students from the United States, Japan, and Korea through student-run educational and cultural exchange programs.
ISC facilitates the Japan-America Student Conference (JASC), the oldest student-run cultural exchange between the US and Japan, beginning in 1934 and the Korea-America Student Conference (KASC), which launched in the summer of 2008.
Noticing a need to create a space for dialogue, ISC launched the US-Japan-Korea Trilateral Forum in 2013 to explore areas of improvement, examine current situation, increase cooperation, enhance communication, and bolster ties between the United States, Japan and South Korea.
Our mission is to promote peace by furthering mutual understanding, friendship and trust through international student interchange.
